Voor mij is kunst maken een andere vorm van werken met dezelfde
thema's die in mijn leven al centraal staan. Ik richt me sterk op
persoonlijke groei en werken vanuit de ziel, in verbinding met
anderen; op hoe je je kernwaarden herkent en ernaar handelt. Nu wil ik
die ziel zichtbaar maken in een materiële vorm. Het gaat om het
onzichtbare – dat wat je wel kunt voelen en waarvan je weet dat
het bestaat – en hoe belangrijk het is om dat een uiterlijke
verschijningsvorm te geven.
Daarnaast vind ik het belangrijk om te zoeken naar balans tussen het
goddelijk vrouwelijke en het goddelijk mannelijke. Ik zie dat het
vrouwelijke onderdrukt wordt. Voor mij is het essentieel om ruimte te
creëren voor vrouwen. Ik wil het leven en de cycli in het leven
van een vrouw zichtbaar maken, omdat daarin de verbinding tussen het
leven en de invloed van de natuur duidelijk wordt. We hebben die
diepere verbinding met de aarde, en de acceptatie van de seizoenen en
de levenscycli, zo hard nodig. Het is een zoektocht naar heling en
balans voor de planeet en haar bewoners.

For me, making art is another way of working with the same themes
that have always been central in my life. I am really focused on
personal growth and working from the soul, in connection to other
people; on how to recognize your core values and act on them. Now I
want to make that soul visible in material form. It is about the
invisible – that which you can feel and know exists – and
how important it is to give it an outward appearance.
For me it is also important to seek balance between the divine
feminine and the divine masculine. I see that the feminine is being
repressed. For me it is essential to create space for women. I want
to make visible the life and cycles in a woman’s life, because
there you recognize the connection between life and the influence of
nature. We so deeply need this connection with the earth, and the
acceptance of the seasons and the cycles of life. It is a search for
healing and balance for the planet and its inhabitants.
